Recycle for London

Recycling in Havering - an overview

Recycling collections from home

Havering collects recycleables from your home on a weekly basis. Havering provide residents with orange survival sacks in which to place your recylables. You can recycle paper, thin card, cans and plastic bottles. Every 13 weeks a roll of 16 orange sacks is delivered to every household.

If you live in a high rise flat residents will be delivered 32 smaller orange sacks every 13 weeks, which will be able to fit down rubbish chutes. The orange sacks should be used for recycling materials only.

The orange sacks are collected in the same vehicle as the black refuse sacks, which are then sorted at a Materials Recycling Facility.
